Probably the biggest investment you will make in your life time is purchasing a home.
You would be surprised to learn how many people are unprepared when they start searching for one.
But it’s not their fault.
The truth is, it’s not a required course in school. As a matter of fact, nothing related to saving or investing is actually taught in school unless you are a finance or business major, or something similar.
And in most cases, the art of buying a house isn’t taught at home either. So unless, a person does their own research, they can become vulnerable to the home-buying process. Meaning, if not careful, they can become a victim of bad practices from unscrupulous sellers or land themselves a bad property.
That’s why you have to step up your game and learn all you can, so you won’t become a pawn in someone’s chess game. Not to say all realtors are out to get you, but there are a handful who offer shady services, and are only thinking about the money they can make off of you.
Fortunately, a large number of realtors are ethical, and are there to assist you at every step. They want you to be happy and win. However, it is your responsibility to find the ones that care. That’s where doing your research comes in.
With that in mind, it is important for you interview a few realtors to see who is a better fit for you and your needs. A good connection and good communication is vital to your home-buying process to go smoothly. So, if you are ready to buy a home, be sure you have done your research and are financially prepared.
That being said, I have invited one of the good ones, realtor Yolanda Nicole, to talk to you about buying a home. She will give you insight into some things you need to know before you delve into the homebuying process.
Yolanda Nicole is a realtor, podcast host, author, and a serial entrepreneur. She was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, and has an insatiable desire to see others win. She is very proud of what she has achieved in her own way. Yolanda believes we all have the power to start fresh right from where we are and create a life by design. After 13 years at her state job, she left, and stepped out on faith to start Phoenix Mode Inc. and G.C. Realty Group LLC.
Additionally, she is a realtor with Harris Hawkins & Co., where she caters to the needs of her clients in the homebuying process. She is also a CEO specializing in new construction homes and investments, and she also creates opportunities for those who feel they would never accomplish their goal of purchasing, selling or investing in real estate.
Yolanda is committed to making people’s dreams become their reality through real estate. In addition, she uses her voice to share real life experiences with no filter on her Lemonade Anyone podcast. She hopes to offer solutions to her listeners to help them overcome adversity and thrive in their lives, as they seek out their purpose. Last but not least, she is excited to let you know about her upcoming book, which will be announced at a later date.
As Yolanda follows her passion of service through real estate, and all the other ways, she helps people to reach their desired goals. It is her hope she can inspire them to not stay in the ashes, but to rise above it all.
