How many of you have ever had a hard time finding the right words to say to get a job, a date, to borrow money… whether from a friend or a bank, or to get a book deal? I bet you didn’t know you were doing what is called pitching, something you do more often than you think.
In fact, you pitch yourselves daily. You pitch your boss, your kids, your spouse, and even the police when you’re trying to get out of a ticket. Pitching happens often. The ones I mentioned are just a few examples.
Then, there are those in business who may have had to pitch to sell their service, close a sale or business deal, or pitch a product or brand, and you still found the task hard.
You gave it your all and the person listening didn’t buy you or your story. So, you wondered what happened.
After talking with my guest, Precious, I found it’s all about knowing the right things to say and your confidence that will make the difference of whether you close that deal and get what you want, or whether you don’t.
