Points to Step Into Your Greatness and Stand in Your Truth

As children, we were all given rules, staples if you will, to live by, you know like: mind your business, speak when spoken to, don’t hurt people’s feelings, get along with others, try to fit in so you won’t stand out and be picked on, act normal, and be safe with your choices, just to name a few. As time went on, we lived our lives and held onto the “golden nuggets” that were drilled into our heads, over and over again. And what did we do? We Listened. The problem is those “golden nuggets” became the foundation for what we believed, the way we thought and the decisions we made, how we acted, and was the basis for how we lived our lives. In fact, it became what’s known as our “comfort zone.” Those rules became the limits placed on us and our thinking, which helped shape our fears. Taking this into account, most of us had succumbed to the limiting expectations of everyone who had an influence on us, and everyone who had the chance to whisper in our ear. Some examples of people who possibly limited our thinking were: our parents, family, friends, bosses, teachers, clergymen, and anybody else who helped to create the walls of doubt, restrictions, and uneasiness; thereby, making us become more of what they wanted for us rather than what we wanted for ourselves. And just to clarify, not all the messages we received growing up were bad, but so many of them limited us with finding our greatness.

In the end, the seeds they planted created unhappy and bitter adults or adults that learned to just settle and play it safe. With what our childhood influencers planted, we became limited with our emotions and actions in order to make others happy or to keep the peace. So often, we forget or are afraid to be ourselves because of what others think. That’s why it’s so vital to break free from all that has you bound in your thinking and actions. It’s time to break free from all the limitations placed on you in order for you to step into your greatness, purpose and truth.

With that in mind, take a moment to ponder on these two words, “Greatness” and “Truth.”  Once you’ve done that, ask yourself these questions.  Have I stepped into my greatness? Am I standing in my truth? If your answer is “yes” to both questions, we applaud and congratulate you on an amazing accomplishment. However, if your response is no” to these questions, we encourage you to follow along as Dhylles breaks it down for you. My name is Dhylles Victoria; and I am a Powerful, Authentic, and Loving Leader. One day, I made the decision to fearlessly step into my greatness and stand in my truth, without shame or guilt. I had chosen to courageously and confidently confront my demons and the naysayers because they had judged me for honoring myself, in the most authentic way. I had prepared for the scrutiny when I decided to expose the most uncomfortable parts of myself, which in turn, were the most exceptional parts of me. It is for that reason, I share my struggles and experiences with women. As a matter of fact, it is my purpose and responsibility to invite my fellow sisters to step into their greatness and stand in their truth.

Sisters, I want you to know, you are powerful manifestations; and you are what makes the world evolve because it all began with you.

Do you realize the power you have within?

Do you realize that without you, life cannot exist?

Realize that stepping into your greatness means you will piss some folks off because they might be afraid of your power. Also, understand that standing in your truth means that you are no longer afraid to stand in your power. Think about it, you have overcome many struggles and paid your dues to family, friends, and society; therefore, the strength you possess is relentless and undeniable. With that said, you should avoid being a people pleaser in order to prevent from being vulnerable. Keeping that in mind, it is important to show up and show out in your own life, so you can always maintain your power.

Remember these important facts:

  • You have everything inside of you to become the woman and warrior you were created to be.
  • You have to use your experience, energy, knowledge, education, courage, and your burning desire to allow the dreams of your heart to become your reality.
  • Don’t allow anyone to make you feel that you are not worthy because you deserve all of the amazing things that the world has to offer.
  • You have the ability to live your best life through opportunities and the chances that are created for you.

Just know, there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting and striving for more. In fact, you owe it to yourself to seek out your purpose and full potential; thereby, finding the happiness you desire, and the power to live life on your own terms. In my opinion, you can use these points to help you stand in your truth:

  • Never forget that you, your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs are important.
  • Remember, you were placed in this life, at this time, for a reason; and everything you have experienced was not meant to break you, but to strengthen you into the amazing and powerful woman you have become.
  • Don’t be afraid to use your voice to express how you feel.
  • Don’t feel guilty about stepping in your greatness and standing in your truth because you don’t need anyone’s approval or permission to be authentically “YOU.”
  • You don’t have to accept what someone dishes out to you.
  • You don’t have to live by someone else’s rules.

Just know, it is not the end of the world if you disappoint people who do not agree with your life choices. Moreover, it is not the end of the world if you are rejected for speaking out and standing up for what you believe in. Never doubt that you have the right to give yourself permission to become the best version of yourself. With that said, always set boundaries and the tone for how you want to be treated, and never forget to demand respect in the process. It is your absolute privilege.

Finally, always be the example you want to see, especially, with the younger generation of women coming up; with the thought in mind, they are our future leaders, mothers, wives, and professionals. The bottom line is they need us for guidance, clarity, strength, and wisdom in order to step into their greatness and stand in their truth. And we can’t let them down.
